Chapter 11 - DAWN OVER THE VANCE EMPIRE

Three months later.
The summer sun warmed the lush, sprawling gardens of the Long Island estate, filling the air with the sweet fragrance of blooming white roses and honeysuckle. The violent storm that had threatened to tear our lives apart was now nothing more than a distant, faded scar.
Under the grand stone gazebo, a long banquet table was covered with pristine white linen, laden with homemade pasta, fresh bread, and carafes of vintage Chianti.
At the head of the table sat my mother, Sophia. The bruises had long since vanished, replaced by a radiant, healthy glow. She laughed heartily, waving a wooden spoon as she instructed the kitchen staff on how to properly season the Sunday sauce. Sitting right beside her was Elena, dressed in a tasteful summer dress, laughing as she translated a recipe on her tablet. Elena had just completed her first semester of business management at Columbia University, funded by the endowment I had established in her family's honor. She had become the daughter my mother never had—a loyal, bright presence that brought genuine joy back into the echoing halls of the estate.
I stood on the stone patio, holding a glass of mineral water, watching them with a profound sense of peace I hadn't felt since childhood.
My shoulder had healed completely, leaving only a faint silver mark near the collarbone—a permanent reminder of the price of survival, and the cost of misplaced trust. The Vance syndicate was now Vance Global Logistics, a multi-billion-dollar legitimate enterprise controlling ports from Boston to Miami. The underground wars were over. The vipers were caged, the traitors buried, and the empire stood stronger, cleaner, and more unbreakable than ever before.
"Dominic!" my mother called out, her face beaming with warmth as she gestured toward the empty seat at her right hand. "Stop standing there looking like a statue! The food is getting cold, and Elena made your favorite cannoli!"

"Coming, Mama," I smiled, stepping down from the terrace into the warm sunlight.
As I took my seat at the table surrounded by those who truly loved and protected one another, I knew the battle was finally won. The darkness had tried to claim my family, but loyalty, truth, and bloodline honor had carried us through the fire into a brand-new dawn.
