Chapter 1 - THE SECRET INSIDE THE DOLL
Three years after Harrison abandoned Sarah and their daughter Chloe to marry wealthy socialite Victoria Sterling, a mysterious package arrives at Sarah’s apartment containing an old, filthy rag doll.
Five-year-old Chloe refuses to let her mother throw it away because she believes it is the first gift her father has sent her in years.
That night, Sarah wakes to strange scratching noises and discovers Chloe secretly opening a torn seam in the doll’s stomach. Hidden inside are a desperate handwritten message from Harrison, a USB drive, and a driver’s license bearing Victoria’s photograph—but the name Rachel Collins.
On the USB, Sarah finds a terrifying video showing a skeletal, frightened Harrison trapped inside what appears to be a basement.
He claims Victoria is holding him captive, drugging him, erasing his memory, and stealing everything.
Before the video ends, Harrison tries to reveal Victoria’s real target.
Then footsteps approach him.
The recording cuts out.
