Chapter 1 - THE SLAP THAT SUMMONED THE VOSS BROTHERS

What was supposed to be Isabelle Cole’s fifth wedding anniversary became the night her marriage was publicly destroyed.

In the center of the Plaza Hotel ballroom, surrounded by four hundred members of New York’s wealthiest circles, Isabelle’s husband, Damian Cole, presented divorce papers and announced that he intended to leave her for Vanessa Reyes—the glamorous woman Isabelle had once considered a friend.

When Isabelle refused to sign a brutally one-sided settlement surrendering her rights in Cole Global, Damian lost control.

He slapped her.

No one in the ballroom knew Isabelle was six weeks pregnant.

And Damian had no idea that seconds before he struck her, Isabelle had secretly sent six words to an encrypted family chat.

He hit me. Come right now.

Fourteen years earlier, after their father died, Isabelle’s three older brothers had promised that no man would ever be allowed to hurt their little sister without answering to them.

Adrien Voss had become a global logistics billionaire.

Malik Voss had gone from federal prosecutor to one of the country’s most feared private intelligence executives.

Theo Voss had built a technology empire capable of moving markets in minutes.

When the ballroom doors exploded open and all three brothers entered, Damian’s confidence vanished for the first time that night.

Adrien saw Damian gripping Isabelle’s bruised wrist.

His voice turned deadly calm.

“Touch my sister again, and your empire burns to ashes before midnight.”

But the Voss brothers had not come only to protect Isabelle.

They had brought documents, recordings, financial records, and a secret tied to the death of their father.

And before the night ended, Damian Cole was going to learn that humiliating Isabelle had been the most expensive mistake of his life.
